Hello there friend, and welcome to One Change Group (OCG)! I am so glad you are here. My name is Jarrod Hansen.

I am humbled to be a part of the OCG team and am truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you in a safe, confidential, and collaborative setting.

First, I want to take this moment to commend the courageous step you have already taken toward a healthier, more joyful you and a more peaceful and purposeful life. Making the conscious choice to do something different than what we are used to and taking that initial step forward in the process of healing our emotional traumas and discovering who we are can often be one of the hardest parts to creating healthy change and learning balance in our lives. I hope you will also take a moment to credit yourself!

As someone who has experience navigating their own journey of adversity and self-awareness, I can attest to and empathize with the emotional and mental vulnerability that often accompanies the choice of seeking help. Nevertheless, it was based on the foundation of this first step, in combination with my own experiences thereafter that I began to find targeted support and healthy change. I also discovered my purpose in life , which ultimately led me to clinical social work and helping others experiencing similar challenges.

I specialize in helping others who struggle with addiction, anger, suicide, navigating relationships, gender and sexual identity, sexual orientation, healthy parenting of teens, shame, and forgiveness for self and others. I also work collaboratively with clients to learn, develop, and uphold emotional safety and boundaries for themselves and loved ones.

I strive to meet each client where they are in their individual change process. I want to provide understanding and help each client identify effective evidence-based solutions for healthy change that will point them in the direction of where they want to be. However, I also subscribe to the importance of self-awareness, acceptance, and personal responsibility. I will challenge and empower each person to try to meet their personalized goals through the practice of gentle, yet consistent accountability. In addition, I will teach and model healthy behavior and communication, all the while taking into consideration and respecting your individual thoughts, choices, culture, and personal value set.

I have experience working in addiction recovery, emotional support groups, and intensive therapeutic workshops. I am also a strong advocate for the development and nurturance of a trusting therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist.

I integrate such therapeutic approaches as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) into my practice. In addition, I am familiar with the integration of twelve-step recovery techniques and processes into the therapeutic setting.
